Outdoor is another way to tell pregnancy. Light is no longer controlled by lamps but dictated by hour and weather. The decor is no longer a background but a landscape. In Limoges and throughout Haute-Vienne, locations are not lacking. The choice depends on your style (natural, romantic, heritage), the season, and the hour we decide together.
Three iconic Limoges decors
Victor-Thuillat park
Dense greenery, calm paths, stone benches. A weekday-quiet spot, perfect for sessions requiring time. Light is more diffused here than in the city center.
The Limousin countryside
A few minutes by car reach wider landscapes: fields, forest edges, streams. For those wanting a pastoral, outside-the-city, timeless atmosphere.
The best time of day
Golden hour — about 1 h before sunset — gives the most flattering light for skin: warm, low, oblique. Early morning also works very well (quieter city, soft light). In summer, around 7–8 PM; spring and autumn, 5–6 PM; winter, shorter windows around 2–3 PM.
If the weather is not on your side
A session planned outdoors can switch to studio in case of heavy rain or strong wind. The Bénédictins studio remains available as alternative. We decide together the day before. An overcast sky does not preclude a session: diffuse light can be very beautiful.

For private use without bulky equipment, public parks in Limoges are freely accessible. For closed heritage sites (museum, manufactory), authorizations must be requested in advance.
Does outdoor work in winter? ⌄
Yes, with a shorter time window (2–4 PM) and outfits adapted to the cold. Winter light is particularly graphic on stone.
