The maternity session unfolding
From the first contact to the image viewing, each step is designed for your comfort.
A maternity photo session is not improvised. It is prepared, lived, and extended over time. These are the steps, in the exact order they take place at the Bénédictins studio in Limoges. None is incidental: it is this care for the sequence that turns a simple session into a memory that holds together.
Step 1 — First contact
You write through the form, you call, or you use online booking. A brief exchange identifies your wishes: style (clean, natural, fine art), location (studio, outdoors, home), expected date, presence of partner or siblings. A deposit confirms your slot.
Step 2 — Preparation
A few days before the session, you receive a preparation guide: advice on outfits (flowing dresses, neutral colors, drapes), light makeup that photographs well, possible accessories. Several session dresses are available at the studio. The watchword: comfort and freedom of movement.
Step 3 — The session day
You arrive at 46 avenue des Bénédictins, you go up to the first floor through a discreet entrance. The studio is temperature-controlled, calm, prepared. A welcome time lets you settle in, discuss the flow, choose outfits. The shoot is 30 guided minutes: individual, couple and family portraits. The pace follows your comfort.
Step 4 — The viewing
Within ten days, you return to the studio for the image viewing. All your artisanally retouched photos are projected on a large screen, in a warm atmosphere, without rushing. You select the images that move you and order the prints, album, or digital files according to your formula.
What you leave with
After the viewing, your fine art prints are prepared and delivered within a few weeks (or kept at the studio for pickup). HD digital files, if ordered, are delivered by download link within 48 hours.

How far in advance should I book? ⌄
Ideally from the 5th month of pregnancy. Weekends and evening slots fill up quickly. Booking 6–8 weeks before week 28 lets you choose comfortably.
Can I cancel or reschedule? ⌄
Yes. Pregnancy sometimes brings unforeseen events. The slot can be moved without fees if requested at least 48 h in advance.
Is the session filmed? ⌄
No. Only photographs are produced. No video recording is kept.
